R.A.D.S Whitsunday offers Respite Accommodation and Disability Support Services. We work with plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. Our short-term accommodation is a home away from home for people living with disability.
We understand the importance of respite for both individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where participants can engage in a range of activities, forge new connections, and build lasting memories. We offer STA/respite services that make it easy for families to take a break without worrying about the well-being of their loved ones.
While families and Carers take a much-needed break, your loved ones will be cared for at our home-away-from home accommodation in the beautiful Whitsundays. Families can either bring the participant to the Whitsundays and enjoy a holiday of their own in the region whilst knowing your loved one is close by and in the best of care, or we can arrange for one of our support team to fly to your destination and pick up your loved one to accompany them on the journey/adventure to the Whitsunday's.
For the extra adventurous participant (depending on ability's of course) that wants to fly solo, we can also personally do a pick up and drop off at the Whitsunday coast airport which is only a 10 Minute drive from our accommodation facility. This airport is small and beautifully welcoming with a massive glass tropical fish aquarium and amazing décor. It is not by any means a big and scary bustling airport like in the cities. We would be waiting at the first door you step through after you enter the building from your plane. You cant possibly get lost. Hamilton Island airport is another option. Despite being an international airport it is also quite small and easy to navigate. It is only a short ferry ride to the port of Airlie. Feel free to discuss these options with us if you live far and away.

From exploring the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef, relaxing on pristine beaches with azure blue waters, or enjoying water activities including jet ski rides and kayaking or enjoying a bush walk to an amazing look out. The Whitsunday region really does have it all. Which is why it is one of the worlds leading holiday destinations. White Haven Beach is nestled right here amongst the Whitsunday Islands and has been voted amongst the the BEST beaches in the world.
Whether it’s exploring one of the gorgeous Whitsunday Islands or simply taking a cooking lesson, you can relax in a beautiful restful setting with our friendly support team by your side. We have both male and female Support workers of varying ages and skill sets to suit all your needs. Whether you want a spritely game of basket ball or a quiet chat about the good old days over a BBQ we have got you covered.
Your support worker will be with you throughout the day to accompany you on recreational outings or leisure activities such as guided walks, shopping, golf, camping and more. We also provide all transport.
